Description: Classic Victorian Christmas spirit is alive in Old Louisville again this holiday season as eight specially decorated neighborhood homes open thier doors to the public for the Old Louisville Holiday House Tour 2010. The tour begins at the beautiful 1895 Conrad-Caldwell House Museum on St. James Court. In addition to the private homes, the tour includes the DuPont Mansion bed and breakfast and The Chapel of St. Philip.

Free parking is available at Cochran Elementary School, 5th & Lee Streets. Shuttles run continuously between all sites of the tour. Tour tickets are $20 in advance, $25 the day of the tour and can be purchased at the Old Louisville Information Center, Old Louisville Visitor Center, online at www.holidayhousetour.com or by calling (502) 635-5244 or (502) 224-8779.

The Thoroughbreds is a men's chorus dedicated to excellence in singing, musical education and the preservation and enrichment of a cappella harmony, since 1945. They have sung for sporting events, dignitaries, civic functions, and audiences of up to thirteen thousand. 

Now is the time for an annual show the Thoroughbred Chorus performs every December in downtown Louisville for their many friends.

Tickets for the afternoon and evening performances are still available.

This year's show is titled The Magic of Christmas



The Thoroughbreds are a seven-time international champion chorus that is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society.  The Thoroughbreds won the international championship in 1962, 1966, 1969, 1974, 1978, 1981, and in 1984.  The chapter has also produced several championship quartets including the Bluegrass Student Union, Interstate Rivals, Second Edition and The Barons.
